The 'Boom' industry is as wide as it is long. There are many different types of booms for a varied number of applications.
Information about 'Boom' products can be found below. If further information is required please [contact Abar Solutions] for assistance.
Inflatable booms can be used for offshore and inshore use.
They are typically emergency booms for rapid deployment. The booms incorporate a number of advanced design features.
Fitted with either tension wires or a ballast chain and quick release couplings.
The smaller booms can be supplied in packs complete with carrying valise and a foot operated inflation pump. The larger booms can be contained on a reel for storage, deployment and boom retrieval. For the larger booms we recommend the use of a petrol powered blower.

Riverboom
Inflatable for emergency use.
Solid buoyancy available for more permanent installations.
Compact for easy storage.
5 metre sections make any length of boom required.
More durable than cheap disposable booms.
End connectors use velcro and self-tensioning ties to create a complete seal.
General Description
This boom has been developed to compete with mini booms which are very simple, almost throw away, semi disposable boom. However, we have gone a stage further in providing a heavy duty woven polypropylene fabric coated version to reduce abrasion wear and to improve the resistance to tear of the main fabric.
The buoyancy chamber is folded and welded but with open ends into which are inserted inflatable air bags made from robust heavy duty synthetic material with air valves which can be connected to foot pumps. These air bags can be removed for repair in the event of puncture using conventional repair kits and if badly torn can be completely replaced if required.
The skirt is selvaged into which is inserted a galvanised steel wire to give tensile and ballast. The end connectors are universal to enable sections of boom to be joined together. Section lengths can be anything - we have made 30 metre lengths but we would normally provide 5 metre lengths with 2.5 metre long air bags in the buoyancy chamber.
Coast Gard
Inflatable for emergency use.
Compact for easy storage.
10, 20 or 25 metre section lengths available.
More durable than cheap disposable booms.
End connectors EMCON.
General Description
The Abar range of 'COASTGARD' inflatable buoyancy containment booms complement the 'HARBOURGARD' range of rigid foam buoyancy booms and give the user a free choice to equip with the type of boom which is best suited to the site requirements.
'COASTGARD' booms are manufactured from heavy duty polyurethane coated woven polyester fabric with all the joins welded using the latest techniques in high frequency welding and these joins are designed to be stressed in shear for maximum strength and reliability.
The air filled buoyancy chamber is capable of withstanding inflation pressures many times that which is recommended for normal operation. The standard lengths of boom terminate in universal connectors enabling rapid and easy joining of the individual sections to each other and to other booms using the same type of connector. A tension wire is contained in a longitudinal pocket at the base of the skirt and this wire carries all tensile loads. Mooring points are available at each end of the boom sections.
