Global Management for Engineering and Technology (GMET) Training
Globalization affects everyone, especially engineers. In order to help industries cope with issues resulting from the current globalization, American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) developed a global training program: Global Management for Engineering and Technology (GMET), which consists of the following four courses:
Advanced Concepts in Global Engineering Project Management
Collaborative Engineering Principles and Practices for Global Enterprise
Global/Cross-Border Leadership and Teamwork for engineers and scientists
Contemporary Strategy and Practices for Enterprise Global Expansion
GMET offers you:
A lifelong learning solution: Each week, you will be led by an instructor, through Abar Solution’s website in Kuwait, to study the lecture notes, case studies, reading materials, online exams, and to discuss the course materials at the GMET class forum. Each course has eight modules, one week each, plus a two-day in-class training by the chief instructor.
A global learning community: Through GMET course forum, you will be able to contribute to, and learn from your peers in other countries, the knowledge, skills, and the prospects of the global management issues.
An international standard in professional development: GMET Advisory Board will approve the course materials, and the Continuing Education Institute of ASME, and Abar Solutions will jointly issue a program completion certificate once you finish the program.
A long-term partnership with industry: ASME and Abar Solutions will develop special course components to your company’s needs upon request. All the trainees have two-years free access to GMET course libraries and course forums after the training.
GMET has been well received globally. ASME has forged a partnership for GMET program with Abar Solutions in Kuwait, to conduct GMET training for candidates from Kuwait, Iraq, Lebanon, Jordan, Syria, Libya, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and United Arab Emirates. http://www.asmenews.org/archives/backissues/nov06/features/1106agree.html
